Every role sees what it needs
A dispatcher needs the planning board, a plant technician the app, management the numbers. blueplant has roles for that: administration, planning, plant care and management, plus a combined role for small teams where one person plans and cares. On top come finer permissions per employee, such as who can be scheduled or who uses quick care. Nobody fights through screens that don’t concern them, and sensitive settings stay with administration.
Working hours, vacation, availability
Per employee you define weekly working hours, exceptions for individual days and absences such as vacation or sick leave. Dispatch sees on the availability board who is available when, and doesn’t schedule anyone who isn’t there. When someone leaves the team, you deactivate the account and reassign open appointments in one step: nothing gets left behind.
Tasks that don’t get lost
“Swap the substrate on the next visit” used to live on a note in the van. In blueplant it becomes a task attached to the thing it is about: the appointment, the series, the location or the individual plant. You assign it to an employee, track the status from open to done, and open tasks are visible at a glance, in the office and in the app.
Comments instead of shouting across the room
Plant technicians work alone on the road; coordination with the office still happens documented instead of via phone and paper. Comments live where they belong: on the customer, location, product, appointment or a task. With an @mention you bring in the right person, photos attach directly, and the office keeps track of everything unread in the comment cockpit.
Notified when it concerns you
New appointment assigned, appointment moved, customer confirmed, someone mentioned you: it arrives as an in-app notification and as push on your phone, and one tap takes you straight to the item. Whoever isn’t involved isn’t disturbed: notifications go to the people concerned.
Why it matters
The most expensive communication in a business is the kind that doesn’t happen: the callback that was forgotten, the agreement only two people knew about. When tasks, comments and responsibilities hang off the record itself, the knowledge stays in the business, even when someone is on vacation or the team changes.
On the Starter plan up to 3 users work in blueplant; Professional lifts the limit, and appointment takeover by colleagues is part of Professional.
